A driver who crashed a Mini outside a primary school has been reported by the police for dodgy driving.
The motorist managed to “wreck” two bollards and ended up facing the wrong way in a bush metres away from Catherine Wayte Primary School in Abbey Meads, Swindon.
Police were called to the Mini Cooper crash on Elstree Way shortly after 5.30pm on October 30.
There were no injuries but the driver was reported for driving without due care and attention.
One eyewitness said: “I saw it and my mind boggled at how on earth it ended up in that position.”
Another said the car had “wrecked” two bollards and “the car looked like a write-off”.
A council cordon remained around midday on October 31 surrounding an area of damaged tarmac pavement where presumably bollards used to stand.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called to a road traffic collision involving a Mini Cooper and several bollards on Elstree Way shortly after 5.30pm Wednesday evening (30/10).
“There were no reported injuries however the driver was reported for driving without due care and attention.
“Anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to call 101 quoting reference 54240128241.”
