A High Street bakery branch in Wiltshire has been put on the market by the building’s owner.
The Parsons Bakery unit on Chippenham High Street has been put up for sale and is now available to buy for a price of £280,000.
Despite the potential sale, Parsons looks set to stay on the High Street in the immediate future as it has a five-year lease on the property that does not expire until January 2027.
The tenancy agreement did have a break option for January 2025, subject to six months written notice, but this has not been exercised.
The Bristol based bakery, which also has branches in Corsham, Bradford on Avon and Westbury, did not respond to an approach for comment.

Parsons is an award winning artisan bakery that has a history stretching back over 100 years and four generations of the Parsons family.
The current annual rental income of the Grade II property is £24,500 and it is available by way of a new 999 year long leasehold interest.
Goadsby, the firm marketing the building, described the potential sale as a “prime retail investment opportunity” in an “affluent” town.
The estate agent has also been marketing the nearby Greggs unit on the High Street under a similar arrangement.
