National Trust sites across Wiltshire are set to welcome visitors for a range of events this winter.

Visitors can look forward to Christmas markets, story time sessions, wreath-making workshops, and winter walks with an archaeologist at Avebury.

The Avebury Christmas Market will take place on November 30 and December 1, December 7 and 8, and December 14 and 15, from 10am to 4pm.

The site is also set to hold story time with St Nicholas on the same days, with various times available to book on the trust's website.

The sessions are aimed at children aged three to 10 and cost £8 per child.

A wreath-making workshop will be held at Avebury Manor Garden on December 6 and 7, from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

Participants will be guided by local florist Sue Scott to create their own wreaths using natural foliage and decorations.

The walk will conclude with a warm drink and mince pies in the barn. Pre-booking is essential, and the event costs £15.

Lacock Abbey, Fox Talbot Museum and Village is also offering a range of Christmas activities.
