With Christmas lurking, National Trust is offering a free pass to make sure this winter doesn't have to cost a fortune.

The free pass, worth up to £50, enables up to two adults and three children, or one adult and four children (aged 17 and under), to visit one National Trust property.

This includes sites such as Stourhead in Wiltshire, which was rated the 'number one National Trust destination' in 2024, or other National Trust sites in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

It's worth noting though that not all National Trust sites are included in the deal, so you should check ahead before you go.

Passes must be used before or on December 15, 2024, and while it's a great idea for families, you can also use it alone or with a partner/friend.

Pre-booking is also essential at some National Trust sites to ensure you're not disappointed.

How to access a free National Trust pass

Although online vouchers have all been snapped up, you can still pick up a free pass by picking up a copy of The Mirror before November 10.

A free printed coupon will be inside.

If you need to reserve a spot, just find the property you want to visit on the National Trust website, select a member’s ticket, and then enter REACHPASS24 when asked for your membership number.

You must also show your free pass and booking confirmation when you arrive at the property.

The pass does not cover parking costs.
