Starbucks has opened a new branch on a Wiltshire High Street and queues of customers have already been spotted.
The international chain opened the doors of its latest branch, at the former Wilko building on Chippenham High Street, on Thursday, November 7.
The long-awaited opening comes after the building’s owner, The Harkalm Group, announced the new addition to the town centre in May.
At the time, a spokesperson said: “We are delighted to announce we recently exchanged contracts with Starbucks for a new cafe in our Chippenham High Street development.

“Starbucks’ unit will benefit from return frontage onto the River Avon, giving their customers a beautiful outlook.
“With Starbucks joining Tesco in our tenant line-up, we’re excited to see the building operational again, bringing life back to this part of the High Street.”
Since then, the second unit at the former retail store has been transformed into a coffee shop and is now emblazoned with the Starbucks branding.
Starbucks is trading next to Tesco Express, which opened in June, while a third unit in the building remains empty.
The chain also has plans to introduce an outdoor seating area at the branch, but this will need to be approved by Wiltshire Council.
