Plans for 20mph speed limits on dozens of Swindon roads may be about to progress after a consultation ended.
Two proposals were issued by Swindon Borough Council in October for new 20mph speed limits on a host of residential roads in the town.
The first Traffic Regulation Order suggested lowering the speed limit on Dores Road, The Sunflowers, Orchard Grove, Haig Close, St Philips Road, Farrfield, Clays Close, Laurel Crescent, Lupin Close, Green Road (to the junction with Greenlands Road), Abbey Wood Park, Hermitage Lane, Wheatsheaf Gardens, Stratone Mews and Old Dairy Close.

If approved, the second order would cover Inverary Road, Anthony Road, Barcelona Crescent, Beaufont Road, Blenheim Road, Boness Road, Charterhouse Road, Dunbar Road, Ellingdon Road, Falkirk Road, Kellsboro Road, Kennet Road, Kerrs Way, Lancaster Road, Maskeleyne Way, Maunsell Way, Plummer Close, Savill Crescent, St Andrews Close, St John Road, Stirling Close, Summerhouse Road, and Victoria Cross Road.
A public consultation over the plans has been ongoing and finally came to an end on Friday, November 8.
Residents and businesses have had a chance to comment on the proposals and lodge any objections.
Any objections will now be considered by officers and the relevant cabinet member before a decision is made on whether the schemes move on to the next stage.
