An “uncooperative drink driver" has been arrested after police received a tip-off from a member of the public.

The Roads Policing Unit stopped the vehicle in Wiltshire in the early hours of Wednesday morning, at around 4:52am.

Wiltshire Specialist Operations posted a photo of the roadside breathalyser, which showed the driver had exceeded the legal limit at 56 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, despite the limit being 35.

Another test was conducted at the police station and the driver was still over the legal limit, so they said she would remain in a cell until she was sober enough to be charged by officers.
