A man in a van has written a letter of apology to the victim of his verbal attack.
The 56-year-old man accepted responsibility for the assault around 12.30pm on September 30 on the A350 Beanacre Road in Melksham.
Wiltshire Police released a picture of a man in a blue Ford Transit they wanted to speak to in connection with the attack.
Since then, the middle-aged man has said sorry for the attack.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “A 56-year-old man accepted responsibility for his actions and was dealt with by means of a community resolution.
“He wrote a letter of apology to the victim.”
