A man in his 30s has been arrested after a member of the public was allegedly assaulted during an incident in Swindon.
The victim is believed to have intervened in the attempted theft of a bike in Hythe Road at around 1.30pm on October 24.
They were allegedly assaulted during the incident and sustained injuries which are not believed to be serious.
A suspect is then reported to have attempted to gain entry to other vehicles on the road, say police.
A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.

He has been bailed while an investigation continues.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the alleged altercation to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Old Town, Swindon.
“A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and has been bailed while enquiries continue.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact us on 101 quoting reference 54240125790.”
