A town centre store is on the market for nearly £1 million after a family-run furniture business left its hometown.
D&R Furnishers closed its branch at The Parade in Marlborough on Thursday, October 17, and relocated to its new showrooms outside the town on Tuesday, October 22.
The firm had been a feature of the town for decades, but director Ross Dible believes the move will allow them to “look to the future.”
The new showrooms, located at Elm Tree Park just off the A4 at Manton, are now operational.

In July, Mr Dible said: “It's important we look to the future and provide our customers with an enhanced retail experience that will enable us to showcase a wider range of both existing and new products from leading and niche brands.
“That's why we are pleased to acquire the new showrooms in nearby Manton village.”
Meanwhile the prominent closed store has been put up for sale at a price of £950,000.
The large Grade II listed building has been described by estate agent Stibbard Property as a “development opportunity”.
The firm suggests it could be split into six flats on the upper floors and six or seven retail units on the ground floor.
