The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates Court earlier this week.
LIDEN: Umair Arif, of Conan Doyle Walk, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 21-year-old drove a BMW 520 along Granville Street without insurance and due care and attention on September 9, 2023.
He has been banned from driving for six months, fined £120, and ordered to pay £90 in court costs plus £48 to fund victim services.
EVEN SWINDON: Mark Murray, of Padstow Road, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 39-year-old drove an Alfa Romeo along the M32 at more than 40mph on September 1, 2021.
He was convicted of the offence earlier this year and received three penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £288 as well as £90 in court costs plus £115 to fund victim services.
HAYDON: Shaun Starsmere, of Thursday Street, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 34-year-old drove a vehicle along the M5 northbound between Junctions 16 and 17 at more than the temporary speed limit of 40mph on March 7, 2022.
He received three penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £211 as well as £90 in court costs plus £84 to fund victim services.
CALNE: Christopher Hehir, of Horsebrook, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 48-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Vivaro along the B4237 at more than 30mph on May 26, 2022.
He received three penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £119 as well as £90 in court costs plus £48 to fund victim services.
SWINDON: Laurence Whiting, of Lawrence Court in Northampton, has been convicted of a driving offence.
The 38-year-old drove a Renault Master along Drakes Way on October 16, 2023, when the rear near-side wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which was not inflated enough to make it fit for use.
He received three penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £85 as well as £90 in court costs plus £32 to fund victim services.
MOTORWAY: Pankaj Raichura, of Box Road in Bath, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 38-year-old drove a BMW 330 along the M4 between Membury Services and Junction 16 at more than 70mph on November 6, 2023.
The defendant has been banned from driving for 28 days, fined £861, and ordered to pay £90 in court costs plus £344 to fund victim services.
WALCOT: Mohammad Raoufi, of Frobisher Drive, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 52-year-old drove a Mercedes E220 along Windsor Road on November 11, 2023, when its condition - namely window tints - was such that its use involved a danger of injury to any person, and did not have a valid driving licence at the time.
He received three penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £80 as well as £90 in court costs plus £32 to fund victim services.
MOREDON: Saheed Sanni, of Akers Way, has been sentenced for two driving offences
The 34-year-old drove a Ford Focus on Sussex Place without due care and attention on November 9, 2023, and did not have a valid licence at the time.
The defendant received three penalty points on their driving licence and must pay a fine of £92 as well as £90 in court costs plus £37 to fund victim services.
TOWN CENTRE: Muhamadou Touraysummareh, of Whitehead Street, has been sentenced for a two driving offences.
The 33-year-old drove a Renault Megane along Thamesdown Drive on November 12, 2023, without a valid licence or insurance.
He received six penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £166 as well as £90 in court costs plus £60 to fund victim services.
