FOOTAGE shows the moment an elderly man crashed and ploughed into a brick wall and a woman suffered life-changing injuries.

In April 2023 a Mercedes C-Class crashed into a car before ploughing through a brick wall on Horton Road.

Located just opposite Woolsbridge Road, a heavy police presence was reported at the scene along with the Southwestern Ambulance Service.

Malcolm Lomas, 90 was arrested and charged with causing serious injury by careless / inconsiderate driving.

A woman from Southampton was left with life-changing injuries as a result of the crash.

At the time of the incident, a spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 1.25pm of a collision involving three vehicles on Horton Road at Ashley Heath.

“It was reported that one of the vehicles had collided with a wall.

“Officers have attended, along with the ambulance service and three people have been treated for injuries that are not believed to be serious.”

Lomas was also sentenced to pay £5,018 and is banned from driving until he takes another test.
