Swindon’s new bowling alley is nearly ready to open.

Signage has gone up around the former PC World site in Greenbridge Retail Park to advertise the impending launch of the Hollywood Bowl.

They boast that visitors can bowl, dine, drink and play at the venue, which features 22 bowling lanes, state-of-the-art amusements, a bar and diner, and a party zone.

The unit previously housed Currys PC World until 2021 and was a temporary base for the charity Computers for Africa until their lease ran out.

Construction has been underway over the last year to transform the venue into a bowling alley and amusement arcade.

The venue promised to welcome customers in late spring 2024, but the opening was pushed back until August, according to the Hollywood Bowl website, and then delayed again to late 2024.

The firm has also been in the process of recruiting staff to man the centre when it's open, which will join existing venues in Bristol, Cheltenham and Oxford.

Now, opening day is less than a week away, with the first customers expected on Saturday, November 23,

Bookings can be made on the website www.hollywoodbowl.co.uk/swindon where guests can also be added to a mailing list for further updates.
