The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates Court recently.
WROUGHTON: Mitchell Morgan, of Coronation Road, has been sentenced for a driving-related offence.
The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to failing without reasonable excuse to provide a specimen of blood to police for analysis on June 3, 2024, in Swindon during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence.
He received a community order that requires him to abstain from consuming alcohol for 60 days and submit to monitoring checks to ensure he is complying.
The defendant must also pay £85 in court costs plus £114 to fund victim services.
GRANGE PARK: Denise Reeves, of Holbein Walk, has been sentenced for drug driving.
The 46-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Fiesta along Cirencester Way on June 20, 2024, while having 32 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood in her system.
She has been banned from driving for 12 months, fined £80, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs.
STRATTON ST MARGARET: Stuart Feltham, of Sheerwold Close, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Transit Connect along Marsland Road on August 10, 2024, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
He has been banned from driving for 36 months, fined £300, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs plus £120 to fund victim services.
FERNDALE: Kerry-Ann Horwat, of Ferndale Road, has been sentenced for theft from a shop.
The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to taking goods worth £50 from the Toothill Tesco Express on July 8, 2024.
She must pay £50 in compensation.
SWINDON: Roger Moore, of Akers Way, has been sentenced for thefts from a shop.
The 54-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol worth £17 from the Sussex Place Co-op on September 25, 2024, and meat and alcohol worth £55.75 from the same shop on the following day.
A warrant was issued for his arrest as he did not appear in court.
HAYDON WICK: Vincent Hall, of Whitworth Road, has been sentenced for theft from a shop.
The 40-year-old pleaded guilty to taking meat and washing products worth £43.45 from a Swindon Tesco on October 24, 2024.
He must pay a fine of £80 as well as £85 in court costs.
SWINDON: James Radford, of no fixed abode, has been sentenced for shoplifting.
The 57-year-old pleaded guilty to taking washing products worth £46.15 from a Sindon Tesco on October 24, 2024.
He must pay a fine of £80 as well as £85 in court costs plus £32 to fund victim services.
TOWN CENTRE; Riten Kataria, of Shrivenham Road, has been sentenced for drink driving.
The 49-year-old pleaded guilty to driving along Shrivenham Road on October 26, 2024, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in their breath, namely 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
The defendant has been banned from driving for 12 months, fined £369, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs plus £148 to fund victim services.
CHIPPENHAM: Michelle Parker, of Catterick Close, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 38-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle along London Road in Chippenham on October 27, 2024, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in her breath, namely 68 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
She has been banned from driving for 17 months, fined £576, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs plus £230 to fund victim services.
