The opening date for a brand new charity shop has been revealed.
Prospect Hospice's book and media charity shop closed for good on Commercial Road in Swindon town centre on Saturday, November 2, ahead of relocating to Old Town.
The charity has revealed that the new store, set to open at The Victoria Centre at 138-139 Victoria Road, will be welcoming customers from Saturday, November 30 and a sign has gone up above the premises.

In a social media post, Prospect Hospice said: “Our much-loved store is relocating from Commercial Road to a fresh new spot with a fresh new look at 138 Victoria Hill.
“Offering a wide selection of books, vinyl records, CDs, and more, the new location promises to be the go-to destination for book and music lovers.”

The grand opening will include ribbon cutting, authors Lydia Saward and Stuart Llyod Gould reading from their books and two DJ sets with a bar selling beers from local pub Hop Kettle Brewery and cocktails.
The 1,256 sq ft space at the Victoria Centre has been vacant since February 2024 after Swindon Tuition Centre decided to relocate and was listed by Kilpatrick & Co. with an asking price of £12,000 per annum.
