Concerns about stormy weather have led to this weekend's Old Town Christmas festival being postponed.
The planned festivities will be held on the first weekend of December instead, from 12pm to 6pm.
Organisers are in the process of confirming that all the acts, stalls and attractions in the original lineup are available on this new date, and working with Swindon Borough Council to rearrange the road closure for Wood Street.
A spokesperson said: "We have no choice but to move the Old Town Christmas Festival 2024 by one week
"Everything will stay the same but due to the storm, and high winds, we really have no choice.
"All ticket holders will have their tickets automatically transferred obviously, but we cant set up the stage or fun fair in high winds, and it won't be an enjoyable experience if it's stormy, so we are officially moving the event."
The mainstage headline act is expected to be The Voice UK finalists Billy and Louie, supported by tribute act Oasish, Fayth Ifil, Ministry of Samba, Drew Bryant and Backbeat.
The event, which is a partnership between South Swindon Parish Council and the Old Town Business Association, is being sponsored by multiple local businesses including Los Gatos, Deacons, Domino’s, Charles Harding, and Sinewave.
