Armed police attended a quiet suburb of Swindon for what the force described as a “welfare incident”.
Police said they were on the scene of a welfare-related incident in Walter Close, Swindon, at around 9.30am on November 25, and was declared resolved later in the day.
Pictures taken of the scene show armed around five police vehicles at the scene. along with officers.
Among the police officers, images show two officers dressed in black with pistols at their waists, and appearing to carry an electrical saw.
In another, one of them fits a gas or dust mask over his nose and mouth while standing by a black unmarked vehicle.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We are currently at the scene of an incident in Walter Close, Swindon, where we are responding to a welfare-related incident.
"There is no risk to the wider public. Please avoid the area.”
Later on the same day, Wiltshire Police updated their statement to say that the incident had been “safely resolved”.
