A Wiltshire funeral home has launched an initiative to help Swindon's homeless community over the festive season.
Co-op Funeralcare Royal Wootton Bassett has partnered with charity Alternative Angels, which supports those facing homelessness and vulnerability, to set up a donation point in the funeral home for the community to contribute items for care packages.

Rebecca Rixon, funeral arranger at Co-op Funeralcare Royal Wootton Bassett, said: "Christmas can be an especially difficult time for those experiencing homelessness.
"By partnering with Alternative Angels and creating these much-needed care packages, we hope to offer some comfort and support to those in need this Christmas.
"The response from our local community so far has been wonderful and we’re incredibly grateful for every donation.
"We hope to collate as many care packages as possible before December 10 and encourage anyone who can to stop by and make even a small donation, so that we can make a difference this Christmas."
The funeral home is encouraging residents to drop off toiletries, Christmas treats, and warm clothing items, such as hats, gloves, and scarves, at its premises on the High Street until Tuesday, December 10, so that they can be distributed during the charity’s annual Christmas meal.
