A Swindon doctor has published a book exploring the links between the heart and the human spirit.
Recently retired Dr Stephen Brooke, who was based at Victoria Cross Surgery for 26 years, has drawn on his career and life experiences for his work, "Your Heart In Rhythm With God's."
The book delves into the idea of a more abundant life through heart-focused living, referencing modern science, the Bible, philosophical positions, and medical advice.

Dr Brooke has also provided medical support to Swindon-based organisations, including the Bible Society.
He was a trainer for the Willows Counselling Service for 25 years, teaching the mental health module.
Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, Dr Brooke volunteered in impoverished regions of Romania, providing medicine and medical advice.
The book further explores how the heart interacts with other organs and life on a broader level.
In the foreword, Christopher Barder wrote: "I have been impressed and feel fully justified in recommending all sorts of readers to embark on the journey and exploration which this book invites."
Dr Brooke retired recently after a long career in the medical field.
