A body has been found after a search for a missing man in Swindon.

Robert, 52, went missing from his home in Penhill late on Wednesday night (November 27), sparking a police search for him.

Officers say a body was discovered in a wooded area near Westbury Road during the early hours of the morning on Thursday, November 28.

While formal identification has not yet taken place, police believe this is linked to Robert’s disappearance.

An area of grassland has been cordoned off while forensics teams work on Thursday morning, and police say this is connected to the discovery of the body.
