Multiple homes near Swindon have had their power shut off, following a 'safety concern' in the area.
The power outage first hit the south end of Royal Wootton Bassett just after 1pm on Monday, December 2 when more than 40 homes in the area lost electricity.
Postcodes affected include SN47EP, SN47QS, SN47SA, SN47SE AND SNE7SR, and Scottish and Southern Electricity Network estimate that 45 homes on and near Marlborough Road are currently without power.
The sudden outage comes after "safety concerns" were noted in the area, and electricity isn't expected to return until at least 5.30pm.
A spokesperson for the Scottish and Southern Electricity Network said: "We have had to isolate power due to a safety concern on our network.
"Where possible, we will always try to keep the power on, however, there are situations like this where we need to isolate the power to keep people safe."
The network emphasised: "There is no concern for safety at the properties.
"This is an isolated issue elsewhere which our teams need to make safe before they can turn the power back on."
