Three Swindon school venues hosting a children’s activity provider have received Outstanding ratings from Ofsted.

Inspectors visited the Just For Fun Holiday Club at Grange Junior School, Goddard Park Primary School, and Holy Cross Catholic Primary School between August 2023 and April 2024.

The reports highlighted the club’s commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for children of all ages and backgrounds.

Sean Harper, who co-founded Just For Fun in 2018 with Mike Jones, has earned a reputation for offering exciting, inclusive activities for children during school holidays.

Attendance surged over the summer, particularly among children over the age of 11, as the club continued its tradition of providing a wide variety of sessions, from creative arts and crafts to energetic physical activities.

Sean said, “I’m incredibly proud to announce that our holiday clubs have received outstanding feedback from Ofsted.

“These reports are a real testament to the dedication and hard work of our team, who pour so much energy into making sure every child feels welcome, supported, and engaged.

“Our goal has always been to create an inclusive, fun-filled environment for children to enjoy during their school breaks, and it’s fantastic to see that reflected in the feedback from the inspectors.”

The inspections highlighted how the clubs excel at making sure every child feels included and supported, with a wide range of activities on offer.

Inspectors noticed how excited the children were to arrive each day, make new friends and get stuck into fun activities like sports days, arts and crafts, as well as have special visits from firefighters, nurses, and a mobile zoo.

At Grange Junior School, the report praised the friendly atmosphere and the fun, themed activities available for the kids. The inspectors also highlighted the club’s effort to make sure no child is left out, and parents shared how much their children love coming to the club.

At Goddard Park Primary School, the enthusiastic staff and activities tailored to different age groups got lots of positive feedback. Inspectors noted that the kids were excited and eager to join in with the games and activities that suited their interests.

At Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, the club was praised for its strong leadership that created a sense of community. The inspectors also recognised the safe and inclusive environment.

Sean added: “Our team is the heartbeat of everything we do. Their creativity and dedication ensure that every day at Just For Fun is filled with joy and discovery. These reports are a fantastic reflection of their hard work.”
