The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates Court recently.
HIGHWORTH: Daniel Maksymuk, of Blandford Alley, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Suzuki Swift along Thames Avenue without due care and attention on February 20, 2024.
He received four penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £166 as well as £85 in court costs plus £66 to fund victim services.
LIDEN: Neil Wilson, of Liden Drive, has been sentenced for having a knife in public and causing criminal damage.
The 44-year-old pleaded guilty to having a kitchen knife at the block of flats where he lives and causing £2,365.20 in damage to a door belonging to Sovereign Housing Association between May 9 and 12, 2024.
He received a five-month prison sentence which has been suspended for 12 months because, although the offences are so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified, there is a realistic prospect of rehabilitation and strong personal mitigation.
The defendant must carry out 12 months of mental health treatment and up to 20 rehabilitation activity days. He must also pay £700 in compensation as well as £85 in court costs plus £154 to fund victim services.

MOTORWAY: Katie Tyrell, of Rossendale Way in London, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 57-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Suzuki Swift along the M4 near Swindon at more than 70mph on March 31, 2024.
She received six penalty points on her driving licence and must pay a fine of £600 as well as £90 in court costs plus £240 to fund victim services.
TADPOLE GARDEN VILLAGE: Hayley Blanchard, of Mackay Crescent, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to using a handheld mobile phone while driving a Volvo V70 along Beechcroft Road on May 8, 2024.
She received six penalty points on her driving licence and must pay a fine of £148 as well as £90 in court costs plus £59 to fund victim services.
ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Richard Shaw, of Orchard Road, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 55-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Transit 135 along Pack Hill in Wanborough without due care and attention on September 19, 2024.
He received five penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £80 as well as £90 in court costs plus £32 to fund victim services.
DEVIZES: Charlie Plumb, of Tower View in Rowde, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 19-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Volvo S70 along Caen Hill without due care and attention on April 18, 2024.
BRADFORD ON AVON: David Putt, of Grist Court, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 43-year-old drove a Ford Focus along Cockhill in Trowbridge at more than 30mph on May 15, 2024.
He received three penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £72 as well as £28 to fund victim services.
BRADFORD ON AVON: Dean Craddock, of The Hill in Freshford, Bath, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 34-year-old drove Volkswagen along Westwood Road in Bradford on Avon at more than 20mph, breaching a local traffic order, on December 12, 2023.
He received three penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £72 as well as £28 to fund victim services.
