A key road linking two towns is set to be hit by nearly a full week of “urgent” night closures.
The A346 will close for six nights between Marlborough and Swindon starting on the evening of Tuesday, December 10.
The important route linking the two towns will be closed between the hours of 7pm and 6am from Chiseldon to Marlborough.
During this time, Wiltshire Council will be overseeing “urgent” repairs to the road.
These include reactive carriageway resurfacing, patching works, road marking, the adjustment of ironworks, and other associated works.
Drivers have previously been critical of the road surface on this route, labelling it a "death trap."

Marlborough Town Council has warned residents of the closures and advised them that delays are likely in the area during the repairs.
A town council spokesperson said: “We have just received a notice about urgent overnight road closures to A346 (part), starting December 10 for six nights.”
Wiltshire Council said it only expects to close the road for six nights, but the order will have a maximum duration of three weeks.
A spokesperson added: “The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
“Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.”
