A man has died after collapsing while out on a run in the Wiltshire countryside.
Wiltshire Police and the South Western Ambulance service were first called to reports of an incident on Box Hill near Corsham just after 12.30pm on Monday, December 2.
A member of the public who found the man told officers he had collapsed while out running, and two ambulances, an operations officer, a first responder, a doctor and a critical care car all rushed to the scene.
But despite the best efforts of medical staff and members of the public, the runner, who was aged in his 60s, died at the scene.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "We attended Box Hill, Corsham, shortly after 12.30pm on December 2 following reports that a man in his 60s had collapsed while out running.
"Sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts are with his next of kin at this incredibly difficult time."
