A Swindon man has been pulled over by police after arousing suspicion for driving too slowly.
Detendra Thapa, 32, of Jutland Avenue, appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on December 3 and pleaded guilty to careless driving.
Mr Ballinger, prosecuting, said that Thapa was spotted on Marlborough Road on November 17 in the early hours of the morning before 3am.
Officers decided to pull Thapa’s Toyota over after witnessing a poor standard of driving, where he was said to be hesitant, driving very slowly and swerving in and out of lanes.

When he stopped at a red traffic light, officers indicated for him to pull over and there was a minor bump between his car and the police vehicle, but no damage was reported.

Thapa was detained and arrested for other charges, which were not disclosed in court, that he no longer faces.
Mr Fisherman, defending, said Thapa previously held a full clean driver’s licence and has not got any previous convictions of any nature.
The Magistrate told him: “You’ll have to be a little more careful with your driving now.”
He was issued three penalty points and fined £138, with a £55 surcharge and £85 prosecution costs, totalling £279.
