Wiltshire Police are searching for two wanted men who reportedly kicked a Sainsbury's security guard when challenged over stolen items.
The incident took place at around 5.40pm on Monday, December 2, at the Bridgemead Sainsbury's on Paddington Drive in Swindon.
Two men are believed to have stolen several items from the shop, and when they went to leave a security guard for Sainsbury's challenged the suspected thieves.
But the individuals are now also wanted for assault after they kicked the security guard before fleeing the shop.
Both men have been described as white, with one wearing a black puffer coat, red baseball cap and black trousers, while the other wore all black clothing.
The specific items which they are believed to have stolen have not been specified by police, but officers are now urging anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.
"We are appealing for witnesses following reports of a theft and assault at Sainsbury's, Paddington Drive, Bridgemead, Swindon," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
