MUSIC was in the air at a farm near Swindon during an annual festival.
Summer Breeze, which is in its second year, featured local bands as well as acts from across the country.
Five hundred people flocked to Warren Farm, in Liddington, to bask in the sunshine and listen to a whole host of musical genres.
Local bands Lacarno Beat, hip-hop quartet Beatbullyz and farm owner Dennis Ford’s covers band Breeze made up the 13-act line-up which took to the stage throughout the one-day event.
There was also family entertainment including circus skills and drama productions.
Dennis, who plays lead guitar, said: “It was very good day and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
“We had a fantastic selection of bands who were given a really good reception.
“The highlight for me was playing with my band, Breeze but I really enjoyed listening to all the other bands.
“Some of my highlights would be the Hip Route and Lacarno Beat.”
Andy Loddington is the drummer from Breeze and was also in charge of booking the acts.
He said: “I had heard them all before so I knew what to expect but I was particularly impressed with the Beatbullyz. They really got the audience jumping. There was also a band from London, the Crane Brothers, who were very good.”
Andy said the event was more about surprising music lovers than about attracting big names.
He said: “This is not the only festival we do at this site and there are other ones that are about getting big bands in. My idea for Summer Breeze is to introduce the audiences to bands they might never have heard of as well as supporting local talent.
“There is a great music scene in Swindon but I would like to see bands from all over the country coming to play here.”
Proceeds from the festival will go to Prospect Hospice and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
