TOTAL 90 were ‘hedge-ing’ their bets this week in the Swindon Abbey Meads Sunday 6-a-side Leisure Leagues Premier Division, as Ashley Hedge led them to a stunning 13-2 mauling of Cycle Club.
Aaron Wells starred for Valley FC in an 8-1 demolition of Cement FC, and Surreal Madrid edged through 4-3 in a thrilling affair.
Division One saw Tim Owen help title hopefuls Sevenfields to a 5-2 victory over West Swindon Wanders, and both Redpies United and MUFC smashed four apiece in respective wins over Old ‘em Pathetic and Red Star.
ST JOSEPH’S SUNDAY
Swindon’s Finest have taken an early lead at the top of the St Joseph’s 6-aside Sunday league as they eased through 4-0 against Sparcells this week.
BooYa made it two out of two with an impressive 5-2 victory over Prem Pro’s, and Boca Seniors were 4-1 winners against Parkz & Co, who still await their first points of the campaign.
Wilts Ham United are another side to have won both of their games so far thanks to a hard-fought 3-2 win over FC Whitered, and Gorse Hill Blues put two past The Messenger without reply.
Leisure Leagues are delighted to announce they are re-launching their Monday night league at St Joseph’s Catholic College in Swindon, running between 7pm and 10pm.
