ROYAL Mail's Cirencester Delivery Office is on the move this weekend in a £500,000 relocation to Love Lane industrial estate.

The move is from the existing Blackjack Street office, in order to open at Unit 6 Corinium Centre, Love Lane, from Monday.

It will enable significant improvements in existing operations, while at the same time enhancing access to the site for customers, by providing dedicated customer car parking the existing office has no provision and improving facilities for people with disabilities.

Andrew Derham, the delivery office manager, said: "In the 100 or so years Royal Mail has been based at Blackjack Street, our operation has dramatically outgrown the capacity of the building. This relocation means a better working environment for our people, together with greatly improved facilities for customers."

The Blackjack Street premises will close permanently at 12.30pm tomorrow.

All re-delivery cards left by Royal Mail at addresses where customers have not been available to receive or sign for post, give the new Love Lane address and confirmation of the telephone number, which remains the same.

All those customers in the GL postcode area served by the Delivery Office will receive letters this week informing them of the change.
