AN outbreak of aching legs has hit staff and pupils at Freshbrook Primary School.
But it's not a mystery illness, it is just the after-effects of their 12-hour charity skipathon.
The event, which was in aid of the British Heart Foundation, was organised by teacher Alison Stone.
From 9am until 9pm more than 200 students, 35 members of staff and parents skipped the hours away for the charity.
The school hopes to have raised £1,000.
Acting deputy headteacher Nicola Anderton said the day had been a great success.
"It was fantastic, absolutely brilliant," she said.
"We are all a bit stiff and sore but it was worth it."
It is not the first time that the school has held a sponsored skipathon for the charity.
"I organised a similar thing about five years ago," said Ms Anderton.
"The British Heart Foundation is something that is very close to both mine and Alison's hearts as we both have family members who have suffered with heart problems."
