THE Mobility Explorers Club will be officially launched at a special event at Broadgreen Community Centre in Salisbury Street today.
The club aims to give scooter and wheelchair users in Swindon the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills, take up new hobbies and visit new places.
After being awarded a £2,000 grant to get the club up and running, members will meet at the centre at 2pm to hear talks from South Swindon MP Anne Snelgrove and Mike Bruton, of the Disabled Ramblers Association.
There will be a question- and-answer session and free refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon.
