WILTSHIRE'S fire emergency support vehicle has been used for the third time.
The caravan, which is based at Westlea fire station, is staffed by volunteers and is sent out to give food shelter to those who have to leave their homes after a fire or other emergency.
It was called out to Grierson Close in Calne late on Saturday night after a fault in a fuse box caused a gas and water leak.
Volunteer Chris Wannell, pictured, of Wootton Bassett, who was called out, said: "About 10 houses were evacuated, and they had to stay out for most of the morning."
The support vehicle was launched in December.
