North Wiltshire District Council has received its second charter mark for customer service excellence.
The award has been given to the Customer Contact Team, the first point of contact for customers, visitors and telephone callers.
The charter mark is the Government's award for recognising and encouraging excellence in public services. It provides a strict measure against which to test service provision and quality.
Those awarded it are recognised for listening, acting and delivering effective services to customers.
To achieve the award the team was assessed on how they communicate with customers and deal with their inquiries.
Feedback from the award assessor highlighted a very good service delivered by highly-skilled customer-focussed staff. The mark is awarded for a period of three years.
The lead member for customer contact, Coun David Evans, said: "I am extremely pleased that the Customer Contact Team have been awarded the prestigious charter mark for their work with our customers.
"This is a fantastic team effort and reflects how important the team are to ensure we deliver the best possible service to our customers."
