SWINDON residents have the opportunity to join fellow enthusiasts attending a summer day school at the University of Bath in Swindon.
Whether you want to explore your local area or the thinking behind philosophical beliefs, write your own music or design your own jewellery, the courses are open to all.
The day schools will run on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21.
If your interest lies in archaeology, local author and archaeologist Bob Clark will reveal the secrets of a local beauty spot in The Archaeology of Walkers Hill. Overlooking the Vale of Pewsey, the area is well known to ramblers but its archaeological significance is often overlooked. The area contains one of the most varied collections of upstanding monuments in Wiltshire and the day school will explore these monuments and discuss every period from the Early Neolithic to the late Medieval.
There is a wide range of day and weekend courses running during the summer term.
Day courses cost £27.50 each and run for six hours.
