AN investigation has confirmed that a microlight crash in which a Wiltshire GP died was caused by bad weather.
Pilot Chris Townsend, a Malmesbury doctor, and passenger Ian Jones, a chief inspector with Gloucestershire Police, died when their light aircraft came down near a golf course at Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire , last June.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch report found the accident happened as Dr Townsend tried to avoid bad weather.
