MOST coursework involves writing essays, but for one group it has meant organising a gig.
Four Swindon College students Andrea Lockwood, Charlie Bath, Angel Walling and Owen Phillips have come together to form their band WithoutWord for their Btec National diploma in music.
As part of the course they have had to organise an evening of live music.
And the gig, which was held at Riff's Bar near Swindon on Wednesday, went down well.
"It all went really well, and although there were a couple of hiccups it was nothing major," said 23-year-old Andrea.
"We had about 50 people turn up and made £150 profit so we were all quite chuffed with ourselves.
"It was just really good fun."
Charlie, 20, performed as part of the support acts, along with Swindon band Broken Daylight "It has been really good fun," she said.
"We have all had a really good time and it has been a good learning curve for us."
