A YELLOW brick road led to Swindon College as students prepared for their end of year show.
The students from the college's media make-up and beauty therapy courses put on a show with themes including the four seasons, stepping through time and the Wizard of Oz.
They were allowed to bring some really off-the-wall ideas to life and soon students didn't look like students anymore.
Sophie Pietruszka, 18, dressed up New College student and model Katja Gallegos in Wizard of Oz style with the make-up taking hours to put on.
Sophie said: "I wanted to produce my idea of the good witch and the bad witch it's crazy and wacky and it took hours to put together but I think it was one of the most eye-catching on stage.
"Events like this are a fantastic chance to show off what we can do."
Eighteen-year-old media make-up student Abby Swain turned model Emma Clinich into the rainbow coloured-doorway of Oz, with a straw hat for the scarecrow and apple-shaped shoes.
"It took hours to put together, but it will certainly attract attention," said Abby, who hopes to work in the theatre.
Media make-up tutor Ellie Baskerville said she was delighted with the students.
She said: "They were given the different themes and they have gone wild and produced some really wacky designs.
"Several of them are going on to university and I am confident that one day we might see them working in the TV or film industry."
