A CHARITY walk to benefit Wiltshire's air ambulance service is being planned for June.
The White Horse Family Challenge is urging people to take part in a seven-mile walk to raise funds for the air ambulance's work.
Organisers will transport people from the registration point at the air ambulance headquarters in Devizes to the start of the route at the Cherhill White Horse. The walk finishes back at the Air Ambulance.
Entry fee is £50 per group and can be raised by donation or through sponsorship, for which forms are provided.
The walk is just part of a larger 60-mile walk over two days which takes in a circular route around seven of the county's white horses.
Tracey Edwards, fundraising co-ordinator for the air ambulance, said: "The air ambulance team attended more than 420 incidents in 2005 and as the service relies totally on public support to raise funds, this is an excellent initiative."
