FASHION-CONSCIOUS Swindon residents will soon have a new place to flash their cash when a new clothing store opens its doors in a week's time.

Next is opening a new store at the Greenbridge Retail Park and will offer a wide range of clothes for all ages and homeware split over two floors.

The new unit, which has more than 12,600 square feet of trading space, will also give the town's employment a boost with the creation of 90 new jobs.

Customers visiting the store during the first two weeks of opening will also have an added bonus with the chance to enter a free prize draw in store to win £250 of Next gift vouchers.

May Leung, spokeswoman for Next, said: "Next is delighted to be opening a brand new store and to be able to offer customers in Swindon the whole range of womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and homeware in a fabulous new shopping environment."

The store's normal opening hours will be 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm on Saturdays and 10.30am to 5pm on Sundays.

Next has more than 430 stores in the UK and Eire and 100 franchise stores overseas.

Over the last few years several larger format stores have opened across the UK and in October 2005 Next opened a store at the new Manchester Arndale Centre.

The new Next at Greenbridge will be the company's fourth store in Swindon.

It has a shop on the Orbital Shopping Park next to Asda Walmart in North Swindon and stores in Regent Street and the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Centre.

As with its three current Swindon stores, customers shopping at the new shopping outlet can use the company's in-house delivery service, which has been set up to deliver large home items with the ability to deliver at weekends.
