THE Old Town Garden Bowl will be transformed in to a nature and music wonderland for the annual Dragonfly Ball.

The ball, on Saturday June 3, is an outdoor dance event to celebrate the Swindon Ranger Service's Nature for All scheme.

The outdoor dance event runs from 3pm until late and includes a wide range of entertainment.

The musical line up includes Belarus, Captain Mandate, Beatbullyz and Ektos as well as a host of other DJs.

Nature for All has increased the number of nature reserves in Swindon from two to five and encouraged more people to take an interest in the local environment.

Cabinet member for leisure, culture and recreation, Coun Justin Tomlinson, said: "This year the Dragonfly Ball has a great line up of DJs and local bands plus circus skills, willow and performing arts workshops and a kid's zone."

After 10.30pm, any guest wearing a Dragonfly Ball wristband gets free entry into the after party with Soul II Soul at Studio Nightclub in Old Town.

Tickets are available in advance from the Tourist Information Centre, Arts Centre, Link Centre and Oasis Centre.

Once inside, all entertainment is free but patrons are not permitted to take their own food or drink into the hall.

But Coun Tomlinson, said a good selection of refreshments would be available inside.
