THEATREWORKS is bringing together 40 different organisations to take part in Connect 4 a Wiltshire-wide celebration of the value of theatre.
Swindon is at the heart of this initiative with 17 of the partner organisations based in the town.
Connect 4 launches in Swindon today with a performance of Fetch by Big State Theatre Company at the University Of Bath in Swindon home of TheatreWorks.
The project is about drawing together 10 hubs, including a professional theatre organisation, a community theatre group, a youth theatre and a school or college.
May and June showcases professional theatre in Wiltshire and Swindon, with the second phase from July to October celebrating performances by youth and community partners.
The final phase in the autumn focuses on professional theatre companies working in residence in schools, before a celebratory conference on November 30 in Swindon.
Tickets are available on the door from 7pm. The show starts at 7.30pm, followed by a post show chat with the company.
