SWINDON College has a new state-of-the-art building, which will open in September but no name.
So the public are being invited to come up with an idea.
But they don't just want one name the existing Tower Block building that is earmarked for a re-vamp also needs a new name to go with its new image.
Swindon College was first opened in 1961 and until 1993 it was just known as The College.
But now it is being given a new lease of life.
And as part of a £12.5m project, the current Regent Circus site has been sold, creating one big campus at the North Star location.
College spokeswoman, Amanda Burnside, said: "It will be great to have a name that is a bit different.
"We really wanted to involve the community in naming the college because the college is there for the community.
"The new college will be to industry standard and everything will be in place to deliver all of the Government's initiatives to skill the workforce.
"We are all really looking forward to seeing what names people come up with."
Work on the new building is nearing completion since it started last April, with up to 150 tradesmen on site five days a week.
The 10,000 square metres of purpose-built space will provide up-to-the-minute vocational learning in the town.
The main block will be a four-storey building, which will house a refectory, an advice and guidance facility, and a new learning resource centre, with huge skylights and a performing arts space.
Hair and beauty students will have the chance to learn their trade in a realistic environment.
And the workshop blocks will have facilities for the building trades, plumbing, carpentry, art and design and catering courses.
The college has sold its Regents Circus site, which will be vacant after July.
As previously reported, developers Ashfield Land and Parkridge Development will be moving in to transform the site, possibly into homes, shops and leisure facilities but they are still in discussions with the council and the New Swindon Company.
Anyone can enter the competition to choose the new names.
A panel will choose the top 10 entries and they will whittle them down to the two winning names.
The winner will receive £100 worth of Virgin Megastores and WHSmith vouchers and will be a VIP guest at the building's opening ceremony in September.
The closing date for entries is Wednesday, May 31. Send your suggestions to The Marketing Department, Swindon College, North Star Avenue, Swindon, SN2 1DY.
