Compass Group, the leading food service organisation, which has a powerful presence in the south west has announced its interim results.
Highlights during the period include group revenue £5.7bn, up eight per cent; operating profit £259m, up 0.4 per cent and UK pension deficit to be reduced by £275m.
Among the strong performers has been Eurest's south west operation, which has its regional office in Bristol overseeing food service contracts for clients which include the Met Office and Motorola.
The leading business and industry caterer, which operates 651 contracts in the south west, has been awarded more than £19.7m in total turnover of new and retained business in the region over the six month period.
Each day, 1,112 Eurest employees cater for the needs of tens of thousands of people across the region.
