SANTA'S house is swapping sleigh bells for bric-a-brac in aid of the Prospect Hospice.

The Flatt family in Gorse Hill, known for their bright lights at Christmas, are appealing to locals for donations of goods to be sold at their annual tabletop sale to help raise money for the cause.

Preparations are already well under way for the event at 98 Gypsy Lane on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5.

In their third year of running the sale, the family is hoping to raise £1,000 for the hospice after having donated almost £2,000 from the two tabletop sales previously.

The fundraiser will have all sorts of goodies for sale, including books, toys, bric-a-brac, refreshments, home made cakes, burgers, hot dogs, hot and cold drinks and plants.

But the Flatts are still in need of donations such as unwanted gifts for the tombola and DVDs, videos and bric-a-brac.
