SWINDON TOWN midfielder Michael Pook joined forces with the British Heart Foundation and local heart disease victim David Mulcock to launch a new fun run for Swindon.
The Hearts First Jog, which is being supported by the Swindon Advertiser, will take place on Thursday, July 27 and has been set up to help people with heart disease in Swindon.
The after-work fun event, which was launched in the town yesterday, will get under way from 6pm and anyone can take part, either by jogging, walking or even crawling.
Starting from the Zurich Tri-Centre, the two-mile route will take entrants around the heart of the town centre and the shops.
Entry costs £6 in advance or £8 on the day, but participants are being encouraged to gain sponsorship to raise as much money as possible.
