THIS week people are being encouraged to take up a new course as part of national Adult Learners Week.
They can drop in to Swindon College's Regent Circus site all this week between 9am and 7pm and try out a computer programme that will match individual skills and interests to a wide range of occupations.
The college is also holding an Access to Higher Education Open Evening on Thursday May from 5pm to 7.30pm for adults who missed out on a degree the first time round.
Thousands of past Access students at Swindon College are now studying on degree or HND courses at universities and colleges.
At New College a programme of events including medieval sword fighting, tai-chi, drawing for the terrified and belly dancing, is being organised.
The taster sessions run throughout the day, from 10am until 5.30pm at New College's Queens Drive campus.
On Friday a Silver Surfers Day will give any older learners in the town a chance to explore the information super highway.
