AN 83-year-old woman had £50 stolen when she fell victim to bogus callers.
A man called at her home in Kent End Close, Ashton Keynes, at 2.15pm on Wednesday saying he needed to check the water.
Police say he took the woman into the kitchen, turned the taps on and asked her to clear the cupboard under the sink.
He stayed in the kitchen the whole time and when the woman noticed two other men outside her house he left.
The victim has so far been too upset to give police a description but a neighbour told police there were three men in striped polo shirts near a blue Peugeot in the area at the time.
Anyone with information should call Swindon police on 0845 408 7000.
