OFFICE workers in Swindon are being invited to attend regular stress busting sessions over the coming weeks.

Special tranquillity zones, designed for people at work, are being organised at the Health Hydro in Milton Road.

The tranquillity zone is a community service project, which started eight years ago by the Baha'is of Swindon, and since then has grown all over the world.

Fidelma Meehan, projects manager at the Baha'i projects office, said: "We have decided to run special tranquillity zones for local workers because we feel that people really need this kind of experience now more than ever.

"Stress is becoming more widespread, especially in the workplace, and the problem is often caused by our inability to balance work and home.

"Many of us are becoming the victims of a 24-hour work-oriented culture. It's no wonder that more and more people are becoming ill and depressed.

"The tranquillity zone doesn't just make people feel relaxed and at peace, it's also a place where we can feel uplifted and invigorated mentally and spiritually."

The tranquillity sessions for Swindon employees will be held on Fridays at 1pm.

Public sessions will also be held on Wednesdays at 1pm and fortnightly on Thursdays at 7.30pm.

Anyone interested in booking a session should call 01793 465715.
