DROP-in sessions designed to help people with their speech and language are being held throughout spring.

The first drop-in session is being held at Moredon Library, Church Walk North, on Saturday, June 3, and Saturday, June 24, between 9am and 11am.

The second session is at West Swindon Library in the Link centre on Saturday, July 1, running from 10am until 11.30am.

More than one million children and young adults in the UK are affected by speech problems.

Six in 100 children will at some stage have a speech, language or communication difficulty.

The aim of the sessions is to give parents an opportunity to meet a speech and language therapist in an informal setting and ask about speech and language development.

The therapists will be able to give general advice and information about their children and, if needed, make sure the child is referred for a full assessment.
